DAMSITE GEOLOGY AND GEOLOGIC HAZARDS, PROPOSED ALKALI CREEK DAM, BIGHORN BASIN, WYOMING

The proposed earthfill dam will be approximately 2500 ft long with a crest height of 82 to 98 ft. The site is underlain by lower Cretaceous shales and sandstones and the upper Jurassic Morrison Fm. Primary concerns are slope stability and possible presence of evaporites in bedrock.
