GEO-HAZ Consulting Inc.

Since 1993 GEO-HAZ has performed slope stability reviews for ski areas and associated base facilities in Colorado. The chart below mainly lists studies made as part of an Environmental Assessment (EA) or Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), for clients such as the SE Group or the individual ski area. Projects listed for private clients are related to base-area developments on private land. Regardless of client, our task is to:
1-locate and map sites of past landslides and debris flows,
2-subdivide them by movement type and age,
3-assess their hazard in the current condition and in any anticipated future conditions, and
4-recommend a suite of mitigation measures, comparing their associated costs and degrees of hazard mitigation.
